There's nothing better than laughing with someone else to start a great friendship. Even if it is because you tripped over in front of them and hurt yourself.
Re: #12. I've made up a few stories to entertain people. Sometimes it is about how many times i've said the word "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". Trying to get them to say it from my explaination and not me because i'd need a new hat that said 13 if I said it is always fun.
The real meaning is it's the number of an Australian Motogp rider (Troy Bayliss). This isn't as interesting tho.
you seem very erm... i can't think of the word...eventfull...no...original...well i know what i mean...thats great! very deep and thoughtful...ok now this word id going to bug the hell outta me so i'll quit while i'm ahead! ay!
there's a point about "Sporting a Conversation Piece"!. This is an excellent idea!
Absolutely, although i've only discovered that by accident. It took a good year or so with me wondering why everybody was always asking certain things before i realised it wasn't actually a bad thing, and is an easy converstaion starter.
Re: #12. I've made up a few stories to entertain people.
And that is also a major bonus for the solo traveller. It doesn't matter what random stuff you make up as you'll probably never see those people again anyway, but it can help amuse yourself when traveling alone, as its easy to waste a random hour somewhere when concoting the most contorted and bizare story etc... The dafter and most utterly stupid the better. And it all goes down well with a few beers and strangers you meet anyway
like saying people are randomly coming into your place and tidying up, leaving beers and watching tv with you !!
Strangely that one is actually true, although i think i've finally worked out (virtually proved as opposed to a guess) what's/who's behind it.
likely to meet and interract with more travellers if you travelled alone depending on how long for, if for 3 - 4 months ok, but over that period then maybe not as you'd get bored after a while.
