Hi all,

Anybody travelling to Ko Samui in early June. I'm going solo... as always i had a bunch of friends going but typically they all pulled out last minute so i said 'screw it, i'll go anyway'. Its a bit daunting to go alone but i'm hoping there will be a few people that might be of help... Anybody out there??? :)

I'm Irish, 28 and looking forward to exploring all facets of Ko Samui and from there who knows???

Anybody else in the same boat???

You can travel to Ko Samui by your own because there is no dangerious situation there unlike Bangkok that you should keep away as much as possible for the time being. -snip- Have a good time on visiting Thailand.:)

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]

Hey,

I wouldn't worry about it, Ko Samui is full of solo travellers and group travellers, you will meet so many people! You will meet people at your guesthouse/at restaurants/on day trips everywhere, you couldnt really think of a more social place! Trust me, you will have loads of people in the same boat as you to hang out with so don't worry about it!

Hope you have a great trip! :)

Hey ya,

Ko Samui is a great island to start your travels on but don't just limit yourself to one island. Ko Pha Ngan and Ko Tao are slightly more remote and stunning. Only short boat ride out there too and easy to find accommodation. Like the others say, you will meet a bunch of people out there no problem.

Have fun!
