Thinking about making a quick stop in Singapore for two days in June. Can anyone suggest must-see tourist attractions in Singapore which are easily accessible and budget-conscious? thank you very much.

Best regards,

One of our major owners, Sheldon Adelson just opened the Marina Bay Sands hotel/casino. Free to walk around and gawk. I also found the Jurong Bird Park worth a few hours. Sentosa Island is worthwhile as well, but not cheap. They also have new casino, Resorts World Sentosa..

I'd also recommend:

-the Raffles hotel - a beautiful building and worth a wonder round the grounds and inside
-strolling around the districts of Little India and Arab Street
-the Botanical gardens, which are a welcome break from the heat and humidity of the city
-the Quays - Clarke Quay and Boat Quay
-Orchard Road if you like shopping
-the night safari

Thanks guys. I'll definitely look more into some of these suggestions. Any idea on some must-see temples and ancient architectural landmarks?? Also, any clue on hiking trails with amazing views from the top?

Take a look at my SIN photos. I walked around Little India and found several temples worth looking at. Once in SIN, there are handouts at the airport that has maps and attractions.

I haven't been to Singapore, but it will possibly be on the agend for my trip next year. Always wanted to go to Raffles Hotel and have a "Singapore Sling" ( an exorbitant over-priced $30), and a trip to Bintan. Other than that, cities aren't really what I look for when on holidays. Except for historical buildings and architecture. I prefer to see/do things that I cannot see/do at home.

Forgot to add, the main railway station in Singapore has wonderful colonial architecture - it actually belongs to Malaysia and Singapore have been trying for years to buy it. And if that happens, they'll probably knock it down and build some modern monstrosity!

The Singapore Zoo, Singapore Night Safari, and the Jurong Bird Park are animal parks that you and your family can have a good time.

If shopping makes Singapore a shopping paradise, then the food here definitely makes it a gourmet paradise

many jazz bars, pubs and restaurants that expatriates enjoy dining and partying in the night.

Once you reach Singapore Changi airport, you can pick up many local maps with places of interest indication. Do not worry where to go, but get worry how to go so many interesting places instead...
