Hi guys, I'm planning a trip up to PD soon, will be taking the KTM train to KL. From the train station in KL, does anyone know how to get to PD?? I heard it is easier to get to PD from Seremban, but I have no idea where Seremban is. How do I get there?:(

And also, does anyone know if there'a any trekking to do in PD? My friends and I are very interested in jungle trekking, but dont want to pay the exhorbitant prices of those hotel tour/day trip groups, as we are budget (but not shoe-string) travellers.

Does anyone know how to get around PD? We havent been there before, so we're wondering if it's a very big place, whether it has good public transport infrastructure. Some of us are actually going up a couple of days ahead of other friends to recce the place, and we will be staying at Thistle Port Dickson, Teluk Kemang, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Anyone knows budget hotels to stay at first while recceing the area? We dont need internet or TV or fridges. We only need a bed and fan and a reliable lock and key to keep our valuables safe! We're also wondering if it's easy to get around from places like the lighthouse to the night market to the hotel things like that.

Anyone has a list of outdoorish to-do things in PD? And how much would renting a boat or kayak or canoe cost? Btw, we'll there for about a week, before moving on. Can anyone recommend good food places there? We heard that there's great seafood!

Oh yes, can anyone shed light on this 4th mile, 14th mile, miley system they have? Is it a road name or something?

ANY (other) relevant info and details will be GREATLY appreciated!:D Thanks!!!:)

Hi,

Going to Port Dickson from KL is pretty challenging, hope there is a directly coach to reach there. Basically, PD is a coastal area and there isn't much things to do. Thistle resort is very deep inside DP. Self driving is easily taking you 45min, so if you are taking public transport, be prepare for an hour journey or longer. I would suggest you to enjoy the resort stay at Thistle itself instead of going other part of PD. And don't expect the beach water to be crystal clear. Food wise, i would suggest a chinese restaurant within 3km away from Thistle.

Hope you find the info useful.

Take a bus to PD from Seremban, takes abt 40min. Really nuthin much at the beach thr.
For trekking & waterfall thru flora&fauna, go to Ulu Bendul instead. No bus go directly there, inquire from the Seremban bus station, ask the driver to drop u by the roadside, there's homestay managed by the villagers nearby;)
