Realistically how would money would you reckon I would need for 3 months in asia?
The list includes;
Vietnam (3/4 weeks)
Cambodia (2/3 weeks)
Laos (2 weeks)
Burma (1/2 weeks)
Southern Thai Islands (2/3 weeks) and
Malaysia (1 week)
I've roughly worked out some costings looking at hostelworld.com and seat61.com and am thinking about £2-3000 but would rather hear from people who have been.
I think in USD, so will figure costs in dollars. I figure you will need roughly $30/day for the basics. That includes: room, food, transport, tours. Nothing for beer or shopping. That is $900/month. Round it off for extras, I figure you will need $3K for your 3 month holiday. Good luck with your planning.
I reckon £3000 spends would be plenty. We estimated that amount for 3 months (2 months in Thailand and 1 in Laos) and we underspent. You will be doing more travel than us with the amount of places you are going, but I still think £3000 would be fine Good Luck!
Im travelling for 3 months and I thought 3000 was not going to be enought things are really cheap so you probably wont even need that much!
I spent 2.5 months in Vietnam and spent £1,400. If you take a £2,500 for three months you will live perfectly well.
Have a great time there.
