EVS Abroad - A few questions

Travel Forums Europe EVS Abroad - A few questions

Hello,

I am looking at doing an EVS(volunteering basically) abroad for around six months or more and I have some questions. I did do a forum search and could not see anything specific to me so I apologise in advance if these are too common.

I am still in two minds whether to do an EVS as yet as I am not feeling confident about it and reading some of the opportunities in this database (http://ec.europa.eu/youth/evs/aod/hei_en.cfm) already make me feel anxious. I know that in some situations that I will have to learn a new language and I fear that I will struggle with this.

If I do the EVS I would try to go for atleast 6 months or more. Unfortunately, my car insurance and MOT are both due in November while the tax is due in October. I have concerns about leaving an uninsured car on my drive-way too.

I would appreciate it if people who have done this can share their experiences.

Thanks in advance.

Yup - most likely. I have now moved this over to the Europe Forum and hope you receive replies. ;)

Isa now returns this thread to it's regularly scheduled topic.
