Hi guys,

I am new on this site. I am planning trip to Asia and Oceania next week, therefore I need suggestions from experienced travelers where to go to , which countries are nice and not very expensive. I am 25 year old and I will travel with two friends. All of us will travel together for the whole time and our budget is quite high. However, we are not planning on staying in expensive hotels. I will depart in Melbourne first.

Thank you in advance

Hi!!!

What do you have in mind???

Sri Lanka is amazing! It is a tourist's paradise and one of the finest islands in Asia. It has magnificent beaches, lush-green hills, wild life, exotic cuisine and the stately waterfalls are awesome especially the hidden ones in the hill side of the country! They are absolutely stunning. It has something to offer everyone.

Sarah ;)

Hey! I think it depends on what you want out of your trip. If you're looking for shopping and nightlife, Singapore and Hong Kong are great cities to visit, and both offer amazing food too. The world's fourth Universal Studios also just opened in Singapore, along with new casinos and resorts, so that should be lots of fun.

If you want outdoor adventure, beaches and cheap travel though, you could consider the Philippines -- for some amazing sights there's the Banaue Rice Terraces, the "8th wonder of the world"; and the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you can canoe through an underground river while being surrounded by gorgeous limestone formations. The Palawan Islands also offer beautiful beaches and you can easily spend a full day island hopping in the area and basking in the sun. Water sports are available in some/many areas too, I believe.

Most of SE Asia is inexpensive (except for Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong). I too am a fan of Vietnam since I'm also poor! It's a wonderful, friendly and happy place. I hope you like hot weather and tropical monsoons - this is midsummer weather in the area. (at least it won't be dull)

Get your Vietnam Visa on Arrival Approval Letter online - must be pre-arrranged
