Hey All,

So I will be moving to Barcelona to study at IQS in August and I'm looking for an apartment. Unfortunately most of the feedback I have found online about agencies and private landlords has been unfavorable. I'm looking for recommendations about places to say or reputable agencies. Also, I'm looking for suggestions about whether or not I should arrange to stay somewhere short-term while I look for a permanent place to stay. I arrive on the 24 of August and start class September 7th.

Any feedback or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

-Brian

It seems that you'll be in Barcelona at least for one year or maybe more. So I think it's a good idea to stay, at first, somewhere for short while you look for a place you can call home for that time. Anyway, you should be there to go and see if you like the apartment before you rent it.

Barcelona is an expensive place to stay. It may be a lot cheaper to commute from somewhere else. In your place I think I'd take Tossa de Mar or Lloret. An hour's journey on a regular bus service but preferable to living in Barcelona. For me anyway.
