I'm a 24 year old female from the UK and I've just decided to pack up my job and go to Australia...I'm not sure how long for! I want to go in 2 months time.

I've never been travelling before especially not alone so I have no idea about how much money I'll need including flights, visa etc. or where to get my visa from. I am a complete beginner so any help would be amazing!!!
thanks ;-)

Hey,

I'm leaving for aus in September! I booked to do my first week with ozintro, they sort visa, tax number, bank account etc I've been told its a good way to start off, loads of fun :) (You can do it cheaper yourself though)

Are you planning on applying for a working holiday visa? Any idea where you want to start off?

I've found some useful information on this site http://www.statravel.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/uk_division_web_live/

I know a few people who have used Qantas for flights and found them cheap, I used real traveller had my flight with 4 day stop over in Thailand for just under £700 1-way. I thought was pretty reasonable.

Hope some of that helps!

Hey!

Thanks for the info, thats really helpful! I've been looking at Oz Intro and it looks wicked. I want to start in Sydney so that sounds ideal. I'm going in September too :) I'm a bit worried about how much money I'll need to take but it looks like with OZ Intro they are helpful with getting work etc. It'd be good to know if anyone on here has done it through them already.
