Hi I'm flying into Sydney on the 15th of November and I have literally no idea what to do all I've booked are my flights, Could someone give me some advice on ways to meet new people as I'm a bit of a social retard which is the only reason why I'm going travelling just to try and overcome it. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once you land in Australia, you should already have your reservations for you accommodations of your stay. There is everything imaginable as far as accommodations is concerned from virtually free back packing to luxurious five star resorts and hotels. The major hotels obviously have a larger range of places to hang your hat, but as you get farther into the country, you will be limited to cheap motels or motor-motels. So hope a nice journey to Australia.
