Leaving for Thailand in a week!

I'm wondering whether I'll save a few bucks in currency exchange if I Canadian money for Thai baht instead of Canadian to American and then to baht. Is converting Canadian money for Baht easy to do there?

I only changed USD to baht, but at every currency exchange I used there is a list of all popular currencies and the exchange rate. Bring your Canadian dollars and exchange for baht, no need to convert to USD first.

This is what the rate for CAD has looked like the last year: frog skins to baht

To see what you get for $100 Canada vs the same amount converted to US $ you can use this bank link to see what it comes out to after the math.

If you have the US money just hanging around then you can get rid of it in Thailand. US money will also come in handy in Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos if those countries are on your list. If you have to convert Canada into US you have to factor in any commission.

Good luck.
