Interesting that the last two posters joined the website because of this thread, which is over 3 years old (started de. 30, 2004). I'm not quite sure how relevent it is anymore...
Yeah, I think it's because of good ol' google. If you type in 'escapes sunwing' (without quotes), this thread pops up as the first result (at least it does here in Norway). I'm guessing it actually gets quite a few views from people looking to find information on the company.
Although the threads are old. There is a valid complaint process and reasoning in the post.
First: Sunwing is the Airline and the Tour Operator in this case. Sunwing Airlines owns and operates the fleet and Sunwing Vacations fills the planes.
Therefore when getting one you are getting the other.
There are no longer any other Tour Operators involved with Sunwing Airlines, they have there own Sunwing Vacations.
There have been many complaints about the company check our Deb's complaints in Google.
The final word is be pro active not reactive....No one can protect your vacation dollar better than you.
And always always research every step of the way.
Hi All, I’m new to the Forum and was wondering if anyone could provide me some information.
I’m trying to find others who have had issues with Sunwing Airlines/Vacations as far as flight delays and similar problems this year. Any information would be appreciated.
Escapes and Sunwing are total disasters. My daughter booked her wedding over a year ago and spent a fortune perfecting the details. Our group of 30 were all set when the travel advisory resulted in Sunwing cancelling our flights to Cancun. One would expect the travel agency and wholesaler to have some concern and to try to effect an alternate trip for the wedding. People had booked their vacations from work etc. The attitude of both was unbelievable -' You are on your own '- Each passed the buck to the other and good luck with reimbursement.
