After the 4th time this shitty programm crashed, I am sick and tired of itunes. Firstly about it crashing all the time, secondly because it is incredibly heavy, and thirdly because it sucks. I have been looking around for alternatives. There seem to be a lot around, but which one is the best? which one would you recommend me to use. I mainly have to manage my ipod with this tool, so uploading my music to my ipod classic. (I am running on a normal PC, with Window7)

Suggestions?

Itunes is terrible software and is the main reason I didn't buy another ipod. I wasn't aware there were any alternatives so I'd be interested to hear if anyone has any suggestions.

I hate IPods with the exception that they record the amount of plays that happen on them and then send it back to the ITunes program to update it. I try to keep it so I'm listening to music I haven't listened to in a while.

I use a Sansa MP3 player. It is FAR less expensive than the IPods, and has been proven to me over and over again for durability and battery life. It has a mike built in, and a tuner built in and everything else. It comes with it's own player but easily runs off WMP which I understand most people hate. I, on the other hand, really don't like WinAmp.

I don't hate the ipod as such. I have an extensive music collection so having a device that holds 120 GB (when I bought mine the largest classic) is good. (I still have to make choices, but it's OK) The battery is one of the other worries for the ipod, as mine is still pretty new (one year old) I have not noticed the time you can use going down. (on my old one, which got stolen, I did.)

I am now testing Copy Trans Suite, and it kept all the stuff I had on my Ipod, and it uploads the updates that I make in this programm to the ipod. As far as I can see it is freeware, although I see a store asking money for the same product I have just downloaded, but I see no warning that it is a testversion or something that will expire in .. days. Keep you posted.
