Hello, I will be travelling through Europe in late October and have decided to buy point to point train tickets vs. a eurorail pass. First trip will be from Madrid to Seville. Any advice on trains or suggestions and how long is the trip? Thanks,
Im pretty sure when I was in Spain there was a highspeed train that only took a couple of hours. Maybe less
You should have good weather in Spain in late October. From Seville you can go to the southern coast of Spain or even Faro, Portugal. One of the train sites:
Yes - the trip is easy. There are trains every 1/2 an hour in the morning and after about 11, they revert to one every hour or so. The journey time is around 2.5 hours and the journey is direct.
I would suggest looking at Rail Europe's website for all the info - but don't book tickets through them as they tend to be a lot more expensive than other ticket providers.
Getting a point - point ticket from place to place will usually work out cheaper than an Inter-Rail pass, as long as you find the cheapest prices well before you travel.
