I did a 3 days camping safari, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater, paid 440$ in total, don't remember the name of the company, I just joined a group that was leaving the next day (the guy from my guesthouse arranged it for me). everything was perfect. the guide/driver, the cook, the people I was with (we were 4 people)
Thanks mate what guesthouse was it that organized it for you
I live in Arusha and its true there are a lot of operation and itineraries to choose from.
From my experience i think 4 days is good for 2 days in Serengeti and 1 in Ngorongoro crater plus one day from Arusha to Serengeti which may take up to six hours.
The cheaper option is join a group. Most trips leaves with a minimum of 2 people.
September is a good time to visit the Serengeti and Ngorongoro is always beautiful and camping is the way to do it.
If you need any specific information let me know and i can help as its my field of expertise.
Thanks cos that's about length of safari I thought-- what is your "field of expertice " mean
