Hi guys,

I'm going away for a bit in December and visiting these cities: Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg, Nuremberg, Berlin, and Prague. (Maybe stopping for a night in Amsterdam too).

I'm just going for a bit of a break really but I'm also taking it upon myself to do some travel/music writing for a music website, so I'm looking for good venues in these places with something interesting to write about. I'm mainly into Rock, and it is a rock website I'm writing for. However, like me, it is more open minded than just Rock so I'm also keen on blues and jazz. If anyone knows or has heard of any places worth checking out then please let me know. It would much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Craggy

In Amsterdam go to The Last Wateringhole. It used to be in the Red Light District but now it has moved to leitzeplein. It is a great venue and is just for rock and blues. Great musicians go there and anyone can go play there. Last time I went is was really good (mind you, that was when it was back in the RLD).

Cheers guys, I've added those to my list of places to see. I'll try and get in contact with them before I go to see what's on, and maybe I can talk to some people.

Thanks again!

The Last waterhole has all changed and just aint the same anymore, since it changed location.
Real shame what's left of the old venue.. Just a piece of flat land and a few rotting bits of furniture scattered here and there.
