I'm looking for advice. I need to take the bus from Nerja to Madrid on the last day of my holiday, to catch my flight home out of Madrid.

Do I need to book that bus trip ahead of time, or will I be able to just walk into the bus station and buy a ticket for whichever time I want?

Anyone? Thanks for helping!

There is no bus from Nerja to Madrid.

You have to go from Malaga.

You need to pre-book your ticket.

That's wrong, since 2009 there is again bus connection between Nerja and Madrid. You shoud book ahead your trip, first to be sure that the bus is not full and because and second because it's cheaper. Check at alsa dot es.
Best regards,

I have used Alsa buses a couple of times and I have never booked. However when you're journey is to catch a flight, you don't want to take any risks so I think it's best to pre-book if you can.

It's easy to get a bus, just go to the bus kiosk the day before and buy your ticket, you can get info on the bus service at if you cannot get a bus from Nerja, try Malaga, Granada or Motril.. all three are good options.

bon Viaje..

In Low-Season she wouldn't need to book, even in High-Season there souldn't be any problem but right now Auto-Res (another bus company) drivers are on strike and this should increase the demand of Alsa tickets so don't thing twice and book.
