I mean this in the fondest possible sense as I know that I'm horrendous at languages and probably do this all the time, but:

A tourist came up to me today and asked me - 'do you know the way to the Highgate Museum of Dead People?'

Chuckle; 'museum of dead people' does sound a lot better than cemetery though!!

I like that! I'll have to remember to use it the next time we visit a cemetery.

be scary if there was a museum of the dead
and the dead were on display

Actually, the Museum of Science and Industry (Chicago) has had an exhibit of two cadavers (cut in 1/2 inch slices) on display for decades. It's one of my "need to revisit" spots of the museum. They also just had "Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS: The Anatomical Exhibition of Real Human Bodies" there recently. The Chicago exhibit is closed and has moved to it's next location. Right now it's: BODY WORLDS & The Brain until September 6, 2010 in Calgary, Canada. The exhibit then moves to Vancouver starting September 16th.

I'm sorry I missed it, though Beerman probably isn't...

I've been to Body Worlds when it was on in London. It's fascinating.

I live in S Korea, and believe me, every day I see or hear things that are just remarkable. Too many to mention here.....

Nice one! It just reminded me of a tiny hotel in Helsinki I stayed in some time back.
On the bedroom wall a Fire Notice was pinned. Of course, being a safety concious sort of chap I read it....

'IN CASE OF FIRE LOCK DOOR AND EXPOSE YOURSELF AT WINDOW'.

I knew the Finns were pretty liberal but standing Naked at your hotel window as it goes up in flames seems a bit odd: )

last week my wife went to an exhibition called ''body worlds''. she told me that basically there were dead bodies in a museum.
