There seems to be a glitch with the tool bar above the reply box at the moment with Safari. Instead of the links for italics, bold, link, etc - it's a mix of code and characters. Basically, it's layered with the script code sitting underneath the icons. Hieroglyphics, anyone? The tool bar is showing perfectly on the PC using Chrome. It's not displaying well with Safari. (I just emptied my cache before transferring the diary entries.)

I checked the forum reply/blog entry form and message reply forms in Safari and they are all working fine for me. Could you try doing a reload on the page you notice this on? If that still doesn't fix it, what version of Safari are you running?

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, however I just noticed in the Travel Guide that if you go to your watchlist it seems to show every update to the guide, rather than those that you are subscribed to.

This is odd... Yesterday, the tool bar was hieroglyphs on both the G4 using Safari 4.1.1 (which I updated right before I left last week) and on the MacBook using Safari 5.0. Every page I tried across the boards displayed the same on both machines. This morning, the MacBook is displaying the tool bar perfectly but the G4 is still showing the code under the icons. I tried several pages plus checked the blogs and refreshed them but it didn't help. Again, the laptop is working today.

After posting the above, thought why not try deleting the cookie jar and emptying the cache again to see if that corrects things. No luck. Oh well.

something is up with the multi photo uploader... again. When I try to upload my photos as of today, the loader says that there is only 886kb to upload, which isn't correct. Then when the count gets to 886, it freezes and doesn't go any further, then I have to force quit.

The reason it's showing 886kb, is because it is now uploading one photo at a time rather than the entire batch at once. That change was made yesterday and is described in this thread in more detail. The 886kb will be referring to your first photo.

The fact that it's freezing is clearly a bug of some sort, though I haven't seen any error messages generated and I can tell from the number of photos uploaded in the past day (~2500) that this is certainly not happening to most people. Apologies if we've already covered this, but what browser are you using again? We'll try to track this down today.

Actually, scrap that . I can see that plenty of people have had these hangs. Though clearly also plenty have managed uploads. Could also be that the photo did upload, but it stalled after that.

Found the problem - the software that resizes the photos crashed under load I guess. I've just restarted and successfully could upload photos again.

Nope, it hadn't been mentioned. Weird that this was a problem since that was one area I really didn't think was touched. Anyway, put up a fix and it should be right now

The hotel listing looks horrible btw. It seems the address section is too small in the wiki guide. Can this be set to a wider margin? At least in the Madrid article. In other articles this appears not to be the case. (the space for the addresses is much wider.)

This one seems to be specific for Windows 7 in combination with IE8 (see links)

P.S. it might be helpful to have this topic as a sticky for a while.

Weird this one. Had a bit of a look into it today. I only saw it on the Madrid article (in IE7) and if you sort the properties differently then the formatting problem goes away. Was this ok previously? Seems like something that would have been broken in the previous design too. But maybe it's just due to one of those properties in there. Anyway, it's still on my list to look into more closely.
