You couldn't bear putting the crowbar away, could you?

By the way, I did some tests and found no problem at first. But after a few more tries, I noticed that if you tried to jump before the page loads completely (incl. ads), it will not. Once the jump fails, it won't jump anymore to other forums until you refresh the page. I think some javascript failed to run when the page load got process interrupted by the jump selection. If that really is the problem, one way to solve it is to display the dropdown box only after the page is loaded completely.

Nope - love that crowbar!!!! I've now had it engraved and added some very sparkly jewels to it.

I'll check out that theory because it's probably correct. I may be trying to jump too quickly. I scan the main page for new threads/posters - if nothing has changed, then move on to the next forum. I'll make sure to watch the page load. Thanks!

I have actually thought of one solution to this. If the country returned by Flickr is not equal to the country returned by Google, then we could make the place name actually just be the country name. The lat/lon will still be accurate, but it just won't have the detailed place name as we'd really want. Still, better than returning a whole separate country :?

that sounds like a good idea. And one can add more details about where it was taken under the info /description part of each image.
How do you report this issue to Flickr??

We're working on a bit of an improvement to this. At least reverting to a country label, but maybe also reverting to the google label in the autosuggest providing it's not too long. We don't really want photos mapped to a full address, but in this case, where it's clearly fairly short I think we can probably insert it into our database as Don Det, Laos. Anyway, fix should hopefully be live quite soon.

This is now live. We even managed to make it work so that, when the Flickr's country doesn't match Google's country, we use the name Google suggested instead. So for Don Det, it will now return Don Det, Champassak, Laos and store it like that. Seems to work well :)

/js/markitup/jquery.markitup.min.1.1.x.js is missing from the SSL version of the site, which means that when I try to send PMs, edit the wiki or do anything else in a textarea improved with those buttons, I see an absolutely tiny and useless textarea.

Woops; fixed now!

I know this is a "lowly" request and probably one that won't fly... But, is it possible to have the "last post" date put back in action? For awhile that information was available for each member. Not only did it help (me) with the birthday list, it also was a useful tool when a member hadn't been on for awhile. Personally, I used that data quite often for several things.

Err... are you refering to the last post date on the list of threads? It's still there. I can't think of other areas which used to have last post date.

Forum search shows many duplicate results: example. I suspect it's intended to be one result per post? If so, the entries should link to the individual posts and include the post's content, rather than that of the first post in the thread. If not, something isn't going right with grouping...

Something odd is going on with the forum indexing. I have had this on my list for a couple of weeks actually. As new posts get added to each thread, it actually ends up indexing them again rather than overwriting the old one. Haven't worked out what exactly the problem is here yet, despite a few attempts. Fixed up some other problems in search today, but not this particular one :?

Sorry, should have been more specific... It used to appear on the "Friends" page. It's been awhile since that feature existed but it was rather handy.

We have a Friends page? :) Could I be right in saying this Last Login feature has been gone since the 27th of February 2008? I am not 100% sure why we deleted it, but we might have deemed it a little too privacy infringing to keep. We used to have the same thing on the member profile pages, and I am pretty sure that's why we decided to get rid of it there.
