The 'dots' marking where you've been are lame when compared to the lines linking your trip together. The old way was much better and gave a better visual representation of your trip. Bring back the lines.

You're not seeing any lines? The lines are still very much a part of this design and I just checked your map to make sure they were showing correctly and they are. Can you let me know if they are not loading for you and if so, let us know what browser (and version of that browser) you are using, so we can see if there might be a bug in there. Definitely should be lines though! Also, with this version you can control the colour of the lines if you don't feel they are bright enough.

Ah, just found out that this problem with lines not showing was on the facebook map display. I've uploaded a fix for it. The lines should be showing there again. If you experienced this somewhere else let me know so I can have a look. I can't find any other spots with the problem.
I just realized: with the new forum layout, per-forum sticky threads will be much easier to miss, since there's no reason to visit the individual forums. So for example people posting questionnaires in general talk will be even less likely to see the "don't post questionnaires" sticky.
Maybe something can be done on the non-forum specific "start a new thread" page, so that upon choosing the relevant forum from the selectbox, links to all the stickies for that forum will be shown? (Then again, on General Talk that also brings up the "travel unravelled" threads, and on Off Topic the movies, book club and Foundation threads, none of which contain "read this before posting" information... But maybe the Sticky flag can be split in two: one for "notices" (to be loaded on the new thread page) and one for more temporary stickies.)
