Any way I can revert back to the older format - till I'm used to this one?

Sorry, that's not really an option, though if you wanted to put together a CSS file to use to override our layout, you could at least get back some blue and maybe move the navigation. But this wasn't simply a redesign in the end, so there are about 1000-1500 files at the very least that were changed and affected. As Peter mentioned earlier, the transition wasn't as smooth as we'd have liked, but reverting would be 10-15x more painful!

On a more positive note; how about those page load times everyone?!

Noticed there were now 9 for Malaysia. We should decide to have either 6 or 9 in all of them, to make it look consistent.

That would be my doing. I was adding pics and thought that it'd stop me at six, just to test it, but it didn't and I continued on until nine! Once I finished and went back to the list, I noticed that the others were already being done by you. But I had to leave work to get dinner and home, so left it just like that. Will go remove three photos now if it's not already done. :)

Hello, one more thing we noticed... We are unable to add new locations to the map. They are adding, saying they are saved, but they don't show up on the list of locations.

Several links in the Travel Guide are leading to an empty edit page. It ssems to be the places with accents in the name.
For example in Spain, places like Cáceres, Málaga etc are not linked to the actual articles.

Spain also one of the articles, where the edit, by section function, has disappeared.

http://www.travellerspoint.com/guide/Spain/
and another is Famous Mountains

it seems to me this happens to all the featured articles. (famous bridges has it aswell)

I like the possibility to sign up as a Traveller Helper for cities. But again, here the font of this section appear bigger than the actual text of the article. (which to my liking is too small, which is an issue that is mentioned a lot.)

BTW about the IE6 discussion: please consider that a lot of companies are still using it as their default browser, as they have company intranet tools running on them, not allowing people to move on to other ones. (until every tool is updated, which can still take years.) I need to use IE6 at work, but I has along side it also Chrome and Firefox running.

The hotel listing looks horrible btw. It seems the address section is too small in the wiki guide. Can this be set to a wider margin? At least in the Madrid article. In other articles this appears not to be the case. (the space for the addresses is much wider.)

Yep, send Peter a PM about the places with a á, é, ö etc. And it's indeed the featured articles only regarding the editing problem. Guess that's for tomorrow. Have IE7 now at work I noticed...yeah

How can I make a past event into a current event in the travelguide?
I added the Vuelta a Espana, started the 28th but lasts 3 weeks.

Many events last longer that 1 day. Maybe we need to have the option to select an end date, if applicable.

Hmm, I'm seeing 89 on your trip so far (very impressive looking map by the way!); was this what it was before you started adding more as well?

I got confused by this when I first saw it too, but basically the 'start date' stands for when you want the event to start showing on the home page. In this case, you'd set it to the 2nd of September for example and then tomorrow the guide on the home page would switch to the Vuelta one. A lot of these events can be re-used, ie. after a few days we change the Vuelta date to the starting date for next year etc. The neat thing is that over time we'll build up a pretty interesting mix of events around the world, smaller and bigger ones, local and international. Heck, maybe I can do a "Sam's yearly BBQ in his garden" event and feature Oslo :)

I've just uploaded a fix that I'm pretty sure was the cause of this as well as a lot of other failed trip saves. Let me know if it still doesn't work!
