Hello,

My name is Harriet and I am 24 soon to be 25. Not currently tied down with anything. Not really sure what I am doing or which direction I am going so I have decided to see the world as there is just far too much rain in the UK. I ideally would like to take a year out and see as much as I can. Aus, NZ, Thailand, Fiji, Brazil, Japan, Italy, pretty much everywhere, finishing with a road trip across the US before heading back to the UK.

These are all just ideas at the minute and I am very open to suggestions. I am thinking of leaving around May 2011 - destination as yet, unknown.

I am really looking for some advice/travelling companions. I know that you meet with people along the way, but would be nice to have a group of people to share the experience with. We all know how even the closest of friends can become irritating after only a week in their company - which is why I thought I would post here - to find some new people to go travelling with. Would really like to 'do something' whilst travelling i.e Mt Kilamanjaro.

It'll all be on a budget so wouldn't mind spending a few months in one place to get a job to fund the rest of the trip.

I am pretty laid back but socialable. I am not really and adrenaline junkie but can usually be persuaded! I really just want to see all there is out there, whilst working along the way.

If anyone has any suggestions/advice/would like to come along/know more, please do get in touch.

Harriet :)

Hi
Firstly, wishing you can carry out your travel as soon as possible.
Secondly. Pleased kindly advised that vietnam is also one of the charming place in the world. When you go visit the country you can go visit: Hoan Kiem lake. Thien Mu pagoda, Ha Long bay, Ho Chi Minh museum and so on. I ensure that you will feel suitable and be impressed.

Helo there,

I am looking to travel next year prefferably at the same time as you Harriet, (May ish). I backpacked last year in Belgium, France and the Nederlands and found a companion to go with using this travellerspoint forum. I went away for 7 weeks on around £660 just taking trains, hitchhiking and camping etc.
I am looking to travel in the US next year and possibly some of South America. I want to work and travel and work on a tight budget because I am not full of money at the moment haha. I would love to join you on your adventure next year. What are your plans to get around and what sort of work are you looking to do out there? May next year suits me fine because that would allow me to save before I leave and to do some research to where I want to go.

By the way, Im Rob, Im 21, Male and from North Wales. Ive just finished serving with the army and now Im looking to carry on a new adventure. Do u want my email address or just carry on talking here? Looking forward to hearing from you :)

Rob :)

Hi Rob,

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you! I have found out last week I was accepted on to a placement for 6 months which means I will have to postpone the booking stage of the travelling but still up for going, just a question of when!

H xx
