In Thailand? Yes, everyone speak English in Thailand! Just kidding!
Most places where foreign tourists go you will find people speak some English. Hotel personel, airport people, some taxi drivers, shops cater to foreign tourists; you will have no problem being understood. It would be to your benefit to learn or copy down in your notebook a few Thai phrases before you go. You can find those phrases on the internet. Bring along a pocket calculator, for bargain purposes. If you want to go somewhere from your hotel, try to have the front desk write the name of the place you want to go and of your hotel in Thai (to tell the taxi driver). For a start, "Sawasdee kha" = Hello!

haha...iloveflyin, you've made "Volume904" confused about Thai language.

In Thailand,we have our own language for communication, for example if you're a man....you'll say "Sa-wad-dee-krub" for greeting, in the other hand women'll say "Sa-wad-dee-kha" etc.

maybe i'm making everyone confused la...haha

iloveflyin's info about how to communicate with Thai people (esp.the drivers) by writing it down in Thai is the best way, u'll reach the destination...safely & smooth as silk haha.

p.s. iloveflyin...air asia's from M'Sia, but in Thailand the govt. also launch a campaign for travelling here, but i don't know the name of it. (embarrassing!!! )

take care, i'm gonna die soon....my boss'll kill me
