Hi guys,
I used to live in Sydney, came back to Brazil in 2006 and now I'm going back for vacation, I'm staying from 21/12 to 08/01. There is some thing that i must say, you're gonna love the summertime in Sydney.
the Shore Thing party @ Bondi's going to be crazy. I'm pumped to get there. I'm also travelling on my own, there are a few friends who are going to accommodate me for a couple days but I'd love to spend most of those days in some hostel, no clue on which hostel though. It seems that the best ones are already full.

hey matt,

is it viable to get to the shore thing party after the fireworks display at the harbour, or would you have to be at one or the other?...its the first time i will be in sydney and i really want to experiance both.

I'm afraid that it wouldn't be viable due to the heavy traffic you could catch all the way down to Bondi Beach. As it starts at 8.30pm and ends 3am, considering that you take 1 hour to get to Bondi, you probably will enjoy less than 2 hours in that party. Actually it's worth a try. This is a such nice party and great DJ's playing. There's also another party going on after Shore Thing, It's a boat party and it might be ending after 5am. see below a few infos about it:

"Come to Enjoy the Best Party on Harbour after the Fireworks on NYE.

4am from Rosebay Wharf

There could be some kind of shuttle service to take ppl from harbour bridge to bondi.

there seems to be loads of areas that we can see it from, but alot of the points are more for famillies, some you cant bring your own food or drinks..and obviously the drinks they are gonna sell there are gonna be mega expensve.

does anybody know a point to have a great view and also be able to bring your own booze?
