Hi Guys, just a quick quezzy for ya.I'm flying out to OZ on the 17th. Not long!! Anyway, i wanna buy a Digital Camera for the trip. I'm wondering whether I should buy one here or in OZ. Which would be cheaper? Would the exchange rate make a diff??
Also if anyone can recommend one that would be helpful. I want as small as possible, reliable make and around the £150 mark.
Any help would be great
You are lucky, because the POUND sterling is such a strong currency !!!
I'm looking for the same sort of deal. (something for around £150) If anyone could also advise if its easy to upload your photos in a cyber cafe. Do the pc's in cyber cafe's have the facility to plug in via usb and uploaad to your email or travel journal.
I've just come back from Oz and found that Digital Cameras are cheaper in the UK. Cyber Cafe's do have USB capability but dont rely on them, I found it easier to burn to CD which costs £4 a CD. Also if you want to take movies you cant upload them to a photo website like Ofoto or Shutterfly so unless you have personal webspace how are you going to upload the movies???
Are you flying via Hong Kong or Singapore? if so, and the stopover is greater than an hour . .consider buying the camera en route . .will be cheaper!
