I'm planning a 21 day trip as follows:
7 Days - Melbourne
? Days - Sydney
? Days - Goldcoast
? Days - Newzealand
The number of days that I'll be staying in Sydney, Goldcoast and Newzealand is still not confirmed.
Does anyone have a good itinerary that I could use ?
I've been trying to find information all over the internet but can't find much related to what I'm looking for.
As this is my first time planning a overseas trip, would appreciate if some people over here can give some advice.
P.S: I'll be going in Mid-October.
Thanks alot in advance
Where are you coming from and what do you want to see?
Just a quick thought is that it would probably be best to start in Melbourne, you could then travel by train to Sydney, onto the Gold Coast - perhaps bus would be the cheapest, and then fly out to Auckland or Wellington. In 7 days I doubt you'd be able to see both the north and south islands of New Zealand, so probably it would be best to have a tour around the north island where there is a lot to see in places like Rotorua and Taupo.
Mid October is still spring, so the weather could be still quite cool in Melbourne, Sydney and NZ. Gold Coast should be fine and sunny.
Thank you for your reply.
I am coming from Singapore and yes, I'm hoping to visit north new Zealand as the bay of island is what I am looking forward to.
I am planning to take domestic flights as the train journeys are too long.
Any other recommendations?
