Hi,

When wanting to edit places/stops in my trip map, somehow I need to add the mode of transport leaving the place. I would like to have a blank option, because sometimes I don't know (yet) or it is my last place on the trip (home for example).
Also, it tend to create the leaving date automatically as well. I want to decide myself when or what I fill in;)

Is this by any chance on the list to change?

Also, for example when filling in the destination (Tortola island), it gives info on Road Town, the capital (wiki text of the travelguide), while Tortola has its own article. I guess that's because it did not recognize the destinations in the first place when filling it in, which was surspring for me.

Cheers
Mike.

I'll add this as a change. Was actually thinking this myself today - kind of crazy to default to "flying" as a departure mode. The default should be not specified.

Not sure about the leaving date. Off the top of my head (sorry, it's late and I'm about to head for bed :)), the departure date is populated automatically if an arrival date is specified. I think this helps since the departure date is usually not that far off.

The matching of destinations to the map is done by latitude / longitude information in the guide. It's a bit messy relying on this to be honest, but it's what we have for now. Other ideas are floating around to make that better.

For now, what you can do to fix it is update/enter the Tortola coordinates in that wiki article manually. Normally the geobot would take care of this, but when I tried running that the other day it did a few weird things, so I stopped it. I guess the lat / lon in the Road Town article is probably reasonably close to the Tortola coordinates on the map - that's why that shows up now.

Ok, thanks, makes sense and thanks for the fix as well.
Yeah, the leaving date is only annoying when it's my last stop basically, home that is or the airport arriving. Otherwise it's fine changing it again.
Sleep tight...;)
