I am being made redundant in December and we have decided to fulfill an ambition of a life time. We are going to sell up, and travel as far a field as possible. Our children are 1,4,and six. Are we mad? Or is this a possibly?

Everything is possible!

I recommend checking out these sites to get an idea how others have made the same decision and are now "on the road":

Raising Miro on the Road of Life
Vagabond Journey
One World - One Trip
Bodes Well

Enjoy the adventure!

I'd suggest using the trip around Europe to see how it sits with you all, then take it from there.

Obviously, it's the kids who will be the deciding factor. Maybe they'll take to it, or maybe not.

fabyomama hit the nail ont he head there as your 1 year old will adapt but your older kids are at a age where there knowing their enviroment more and learning. But Europe is great and can be good place to grow up and have enriching life
