Hi travelling enthusiasts,

I have recently discovered a new site called Google Earth. It is well worth looking into! You are able to view any part of the world, with the click of a few buttons! You can see photographs of various landmarks and you are able to take virtual tours. There are 3D representations of areas as well as links to Wikipedia where you can gather more information about an area of interest. You can get the exact directions from one area to another.

I think this site is a great way to broaden your travel's knowledge and to gain a bit more insight before you head out for real!

Give it a go!

Hi Arlene,

I love playing with Google Earth (it's not a website by the way, it's an application you have to download and install). It's so easy to get lost in there looking at random landmarks all around the world. That said, I still prefer actually being on the ground and in the thick of it - with people speaking funny languages and doing strange things. Can't get that any other way.

Hi Arlene,

I also love playing with Google Earth. I have gone out of town a few times and used Google Earth to "see" where I will actually be staying. It gives a great view of the location and it's surroudings.
