Better quality life, quite laid back, remember getting a big shock when i came back to britian, so much more intense here. But if that's what you want then may as well go for it.

Hey all, you are the group of people I need to talk to, to get feedback on how you would like to meet new people when you get to Australia. I now live in Australia and was faced with very similar issues when I first moved here. It's just hard to meet people in a big city unless you already know someone or are travelling in groups!

Some people do it by staying for a few days in the backpackers or hostels, cause people are generally happy and lone travellers anyhow. Some others may consider taking a short term stay in a share house. I did neither I must say, cause I'm perhaps a little too precious and love my privacy too much! Other than meeting new people from work, I did find it hard to meet new people. It sure did take a bit of time, and a lot of effort on my part to "put myself out there" to create opportunities to meet new people. Not all the new people I met stayed around, but for that brief moment in time, they had definitely shared new schools of thoughts and it was simply refreshing!

Now that I'm settled in, I'm hoping to build something for you guys - but I'm not quite sure how and what it is yet. -snip-
