Travel Forums North America Holiday Visa for Canada
Hi,
I am planning on travelling to Canada next summer on a holiday visa. As I am travelling alone, I'm not sure I can commit getting a year WHM visa.
So I am thinking of travelling around to see the country for a few months and do volunteering or wwoofing to save money along the way.
Has anyone done something similar? Is it impossible to get odd jobs on a holiday visa in Canada?

When i was drifting around Canada and the USA some 30 years ago i found hostels to be a great place to stay in and a good source of info on where to find daytime casual labor jobs such as fruit picking etc... you may want to explore the possibilities.
A Working Holiday Program allows travellers from 18 to 30 years of age to enter Canada without either a work authorization or a job offer from the Canadian employer. Once in Canada, travellers can obtain employment from Canadian employers during their stay to help fund their vacation. Some of the information in this article is out of date.
