I have heard of a web site which acts as a contact point for travellers to meet other travellers by staying for a couple of days at their places in their home country, and as a cheap way to get by travelling.

Has anybody else heard of this website, and what is the address of it. I think it sounds like a fascinating way to get around the world, and meet lots of interesting people.

I have no idea but let me know if you find out. Or how about this. You let me stay at your place and I'll offer my place to you as well. I live across the BAy from San Francisco California. It would be an evn trade off. =). Let me know.

There a few of these websites around, one of them is Global Freeloaders, Then there's the Stay4Free site, There's at least one more that I know of, just can't remember the name right now, if I manage to dig it out of my memory, I'll post it here, so annoying LOL

best regards

Solvejg, you may be thinking of

I've never tried this before, but it seems like a great idea and certainly a fantastic way to keep costs down while meeting other people.

No, that's not the one, I'm soooo annoyed I can't remember it, don't know why I haven't bookmarked it. It seemed very well organized I remember. Will dig through my memory over the week-end
