I have never been to the Canaries, but have been told that the climate is perfect all year round. Can someone recommend a destination for a middle-aged couple, NOT interested in clubbing, my husband is crazy about wildlife, we both love plants......history, and all the usual. I would be most grateful for your input.
by the way, we'd like to go next spring.

La Palma.
So different to the other islands. It's very green and full of great flora and fauna.
Check out....

Im 18 year old male that visited tenerife in june/july of 2010 with fellow mates.. I would reccomend tenerife to you but not Playa Las Americas which is the main hub for young tourists. Could I suggest Los Cristianos which neighbours Playa Las Americas but is by far quieter. The climate is fantastic all year round as the year before I visited lanzarote in september and that was 22 degress and Tenerife managed 27-28 degrees everyday. I checked the other day being 4/1/2011 and the temperature for canaries were 19 degrees

Gran Canaria is more quieter and quite green, more luxurious ive been told.
