I've noticed the off topic forum has been very quiet lately! Is everyone off travelling? I suppose that's how it should be! Or is everyone too busy playing Vegasmike's time waster game?

Utrecht- can you post some more links to some bizarre news stories?!

I am around and will add this link. Luckiest people in the world. Should be nice and warm in NZ now, got cold in Vegas last night. Went below freezing. Had to break out the coats!

Yeah, OT has been quiet of late....curious. Maybe Northern Hemisphere folk are storing up body fat in anticipation of a cold winter. Maybe not, maybe they're traveling to warmer climes. I'm storing up body fat while catching apples.....

I'M HERE!!!!! Everyone else is over on that "other site" who's name will not be mentioned by me.

Bex and Mike, please help me out with the TU Q&A series. You guys would be great! Just sayin'. Yeah, blatant promotional response but... Since we're all still here...

I tried rallying the crew awhile ago and it worked for about 5 minutes. Guess I'm losing my touch. (I'm melting....)

I'm here too. Just busy. I don't know of any "other site" ;)

I was away for a couple of weeks, but back again, also on OT of course.
Since the redesign OT has been quiet
I will try to keep you posted on some weird news around the world!;)

Hi everyone.

Thanks for the links Mike and Beerman.:)

I must admit I've been a bit quieter than normal on TP recently too - I've had a hectic couple of months (new job, trip back to the UK and moving house) but things are calming down a bit now so I should have plenty of time for TP again.

Gretchen - I will definitely try to get involved in the Q & A series, and I do intend to post some more book reviews at some point too!

What's this 'other site' - surely not LP or FB?

Congratulations on the new job, the visit home and now the new housing! You have been busy!

The Q&As are really quite simple - just have a set time limit (and a few other minor guidelines). They work very well on TravelBlogs (called panel discussions over there) and people like contributing to them as they don't require more than 200 words. Hell, Sam answered the first one here with a mere 27 word count.

Book reviews? Woohoo and cool!! Craggy has received a book from a publisher about Buffalo, New York. Looking forward to his review. (Hopefully, he's received the copy.) And, may have one written by a new TP member when he's finished reading - one of the latest by Stephen King. Looking forward to that too since I like Stephen King's books.

As for "that other site" - BUSTED!!! I can definitely say it's NOT LP! Otherwise - not talking now... ;)
