Our first leg of RTW means a couple of days stop over in Los Angeles.

Can anyone recommend any half decent places to stay.
Dont want to spend a fortune (obviously). But dont want to end up in the 'Ghetto'.

Also, recommended places. Booked online/telephone??

Cheers,

R

Banana Bungalow on Melrose Avenue (West Hollywood) was alright when we stayed there a few months ago - the crowd is very youngish backpackers, but that was alright, we didn't hang around much. Our room was really nice (retro style) with a very comfortable bed, I think we paid something like $69, which isn't bad at all.
