Hi, I am a single female, 35, and will be traveling for six months for a sabbatical next year. The plans is, land in Heathrow March 2nd, travel through Western Europe for 2 months, then stop over in Florida (to change gear) sometime in May and then down to CA and South America. Finish by September 1st. I'll be posting the rough itinerary for each leg of the trip soon. I am very much intersted in archeological sites, but really just wanted to experience different cultures. I would like to talk to anyone who may be thinking of traveling to any of these places at those times.

Hi paulacauro,
so far I have figured out:
Western Europe March 2011 to mid May 2011
Stop in florida in mid May 2011
South America end of May to July 2011
Carribean August to September 2011
I'll be posting a more detailed but still rough itinerary for Europe in a bit, and I am still researching SA and CA.

I will be traveling around that time. I will be in Europe for a couple of months from there to Central/South America and Africa finishing the journey in Asia. If I can be of any help I'm here. Best of luck and enjoy.

also if you want people to stay with and/or show you around, there's a whole network of people willing to let you stay on their couch for a night or 2 and usually will show you around their city and can give you advice etc. too... the website is:
all the best.
