I have a really good quality backpack but its only 40L, do you guys think it will be too small for 6weeks in Thailand?

40l will be enough, and in case you need something, everything is available in Thailand (and much cheaper!!).

I used my 40L travel pack for Vietnam and Laos in December - could not have been more perfect. I did use a messenger bag too, but I felt so sorry for those nuts lugging around the kitchen sink!

It's a great size. No need to check or stow it, the ultimate in mobility.

I have used my 40L pack several times for both short and long trips and it's been perfect. In Thailand it's really easy and cheap to get your washing done.
