ive not really planned but I have friends out there that say it is very easy to get work and the wages are much more than in the UK. So although it is expensive to live your earning more! Anyways you can apparantly get a nice cheap bottle of wine for $6 so thats all I need to know!!

Hi, my name is Missy, I am 23 from the US. I am going to sydney and will arrive on Feb 23. Although I have made no other plans and am going to wing everything when I get there, it would be nice to make some contacts before I go seeing as how I don't know a soul there! You can add me to facebook - missy magnusson if you'd like.
I haven't seen too many postings by Americans on these threads, so it's nice to see someone in the exact same position as me. I'm 23 from Mass, hoping to leave in March... I just have to figure out how to quit my job here first. I'm doing it alone and have no definite plans, was just gonna go with the flow when I get there. I've been reading a bunch of these threads trying to see other people's plans on a WHV... getting really excited!... but also trying to make a few contacts to maybe give myself a little more piece of mind.
