Travel Forums System Talk Customising the templates

I have made a few changes to the template so that my colours etc are okay.
What I would like to do is to widen the whole blog so that it is 80% of screen width with a minimum of 800px (including navigation area).

I have tried to tweak the CSS but to no avail.

This will also fix the problem I have of having horizontal scroll bars on a couple of my pages due to the map being too wide. Again tweaking some of the sizes in the CSS makes no difference.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Kind regards,

PS Is it possible on the maps to add arrows to the lines to show the direction of travel?

PPS You have a spelling mistake when the template is changed. You have "...succesful."

Hey Glynn,

Try finding and then changing these rules in your template:

#wrapper {position:relative;width:80%;min-width:800px;margin: 0 auto;border: 1px solid #999;padding: 0;border-top: 0;}
#navigation {float:right;width:25%;margin:0;padding:0;font-size:90%;border-left:1px dotted #bbb;text-align:left;}
#blogcontent {width:70%;margin:0;float:left;}

That should ensure that it takes up 80% of your screen with a minimum of 800px. Note, the minimum width rule will be ignored by Internet Explorer 6, but I'd probably just live with that.

On the other issues:

1. Not currently possible to have arrows on the lines. Have considered it, but probably not high on the priority list in that area just yet.
2. I've just fixed up the spelling mistake (and found it in a couple of other places as well)

That looks much better.
Many thanks.
