Hi Craig,
I seem to remember skydiving being quite popular around Noosa in Queensland. Then again, Byron Bay area would no doubt be good and a good place to hang out too. I suppose it would be fantastic to see the GBR from 10000ft as well! So try anywhere north of Airlie Beach, Townsville, Cairns etc.

Hi Craig,

I'm going to Oz and NZ for 2 months next month and am training for my A licence at Ramblers, which is about 2 hours drive from Brisbane. Have you checked out http://www.dropzone.com? They've got listings of all the dropzone worldwide. I'm doing the "Addiction Package" which costs about £1300 and is all 9 levels of the AFF plus the additional 11 jumps to consolidate the A licence. Asked loads of questions on the forums and Ramblers came out highly recommended and is regarded as one of the best DZs in the world.

Hope this helps

Simon

Had a look at Ramblers last night, you will have to let me know how things went, where you stayed etc.. Really looking forward to seeing the world 14,000ft, what about you is this the first venture into skydiving?

Take it easy Simon

Never tried skydiving before, but have wanted to go for my licence for ages. Done bungee jumping and stuff like that in the past, but it's over so quickly. Really looking forward to the 60 seconds+ of freefall! Planning to do the Nevis Highwire and the Sky Jump in NZ, too. I'll post up my experiences.

Best wishes

Simon

Check out caloundra on the sunshine coast north of brissy, they say they're cheapest on the east coast and the beachlandings are amazing...
