I know this is early as I'm not travelling until September, but want to do my research thoroughly !! I'm visiting Copenhagen
in September and would like general advise from locals and other tourists on things like,

Best places to eat, on a budget.
Best night life
Best Bars
Best sights and museums
Other tips like how easy is the transport network to use etc?

Guide books are never as good as first hand experience

Speak soon

Copenhagen is best seen on foot or bike. The famous Stroget runs through the heart of Copenhagen, and you can't go wrong if you start your trip right there. Don't miss the Carlsberg Brewery Tour - they're very generous! I don't remember exactly when Tivoli closes for the winter, but you might want to check that and plan your trip so you get a chance to see this very unique amusement park in the center of the city.

If you like History, the National Museum of Denmark is a must.

Here's the website:

I would spend a couple of hours in Christiania, which is a cool place to see.

The people of Copenhagen are great, have fun!

Yes, Christania is a cool place. It's like a little Amsterdam.

You should definitely take the canal tour. You get to see everything, the route is beautiful, and you learn a lot. The cheapest tour is the Netto Boats that leave from Holmens Church

You can easily see the city on foot, and it's definitely the best way to go.
The National Gallery is always free and is a great art museum that connects a new, modern building to the original museum building.

Have fun! It is a great city.

OH! And as for bars, beer tasting is great at Nørrebro Bryghus The beers are great and it's in a younger and more diverse part of town. Great place to start a night out.
