Hey there,

Myself and my boyfriend have just got our work/hol visas for Australia. We are planning on leavng Sept/Oct 2011 as hopefully that will give us plenty of time to save.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice when and where to buy our flight tickets???? Want to get it booked soon so we have something to look forward to but want to get the best price possible too.

Any advice would be much appreciated.........

Thanks, Jenny

Have you tryed STA travel? If you are both under the age of 26 you get a little discount which always helps!
I'm planning on going over in dec time, just deciding on either one way or open one yr return!!!:)

Oh....flying from Scotland, UK.

Yeh STA travel I have tried, thanks Suzyb......thought it looked quite reasonable and it looks easy enough to do stopovers which is tempting!! So your going in December, have you been before?? Roll on the end of the year!!

Try Trailfinders - I have always found them to be the cheapest.

I like momondo.com for finding the cheapest rate and then booking with the company direct. Are you planning on doing an RTW starting in OZ or just doing a working holiday there? How long are you planning on going for?

AusTravel have been good in the past for me, but not sure what they're like now. Another place to try anyway!

Hiya, ive just booked a return flight from Qantas on their website. Cost £800 which i thought was reasonable...Same flight on STA is £785 so could save yourself another £15. I didnt notice their site till after i booked or would have used them myself.
