I'm am glad to hear there is a lot of improvement in India. Sometimes we see the western world and even places in Asia (singapore, Japan, hong kong) and wonder what took India so long, since most Indians are intelligent! Well its good to know that India will be getting better and better. anyhow, inspite of being thrown around as a dice in the hands of the older generation the new generation can make our India a better, modern, developed and advanced place to live in. I only long for a developed India (first world country)!!!
Peace out.

This is a message for both Aman & Lostworld,

It was really interesting like the BBC - India based programme HARD-TALK. But not interesting for a site like this. In life, there are always two ways of looking into it which we could see through the eyes of Aman as well as Lostworld. Both of them are right to their perception. But certain forum like this, we should try to be a moderate Indian! When this site is talking about the Tourism perspective, there is no point in blaming the scams and political leaders! It is shame on the Indian's part who blame a government or leader who has been elected by the people themselves. I would like to ask Lostworld a simple question! How many times in your life you thought of doing some good thing to your mother country? I mean what have you contributed to make it a better country? Answer would be NEVER. So, that is our problem. We do nothing and we expect a lot. We have countries like US or CANADA to compare with! It is not fair. Try to enrich your country by any means you can! Then I will say that he or she has a right to comment on issues like that! That is what AMAN was doing! It was never a false praise. He was trying to enrich the countries heritage! and by doing so he is doing good to India. But Lostworld's comments have negative impact on this forum.

India is a great place to visit. I went there and had a good time. I just took in the culture and people, I had not expected it to be so western, most cities in India are moderatley western. I still enjoyed it. If going to India, dont forget to shop, u find a lot of neat things there, for cheap. Its a wonderful experience. Its too bad Indians themselves complain about their country, even when there has been so much improvements and changes. I am sure there will be a lot of changes even in just a few years, but I will still keep visiting India.

Dear friends,
First of all i dont know how the administrator can allow such a abusive/dirty language about any religion (in malwin words- -snip- . I am very surprised to see that admin have not edited his language. I respect the ideology of all
religions whether it is Christianity, Bhuddism, Skhikism, Muslim and Hinduism beacuse the essence of everyone is to spread peace and love. I havent compared any religion nor i have used any bad words for any one. I have been hurted by marwin and the admin who edit the dirty language but not edited this time. As i cannot support someone using bad words for any religion also i will not accept anyone using such a dirty language for Hindu religion, i canot believe he used words - -snip-. Everyone knows that india is more famous for its spirituality then its science. So please tell me did i commit a mistake by telling people about it ? Leave India even other religions like christianity also believe in spirituality. Many people travel a new country to know more about its culture, So am i a criminal after telling our culture?

[ Edit: you're right- it has been edited (& reply to be complete) ]

I also feel deep SORRY to all of you whose feelings are hurt by me unknowingly. Believe me I was having very good intentions telling
something new about india to the travellors so that they can take full advantage of its culture and enjoy it too. I still dont know how its happenning this way and i am feeling very depressed now. Also i want to add one thing that I am an human like you, i can commit a mistake. It may be that the situation of Chandigarh have not improved rather somewhat decreased in the last 10 years. But you can ask anyone that Still chandigarh is one of the best city in india to live. This is beacause Chandigarh was a very best city even 10 years ago . now there are some problems due to increase in polupation. Malwin have misunderstood what i wanted to say. I wanted to say that that most of these cities have transformed (for e.g delhi, gurgaon etc) and the others are already been in good state. And this was more related to the mentallity and the standard of living of an average citizen in these cities. and i still back my words that the situation in most of these cities which were not very good , have improved a lot. Chandigarh or any other
developed city can be an exception as they were already developed. Even if anyone have misundestood or hurt then also its a inappropriate to write so harsh langauge about oneself and his religion. Though i have written that i havent wriiten anything about religion as i dont believe in the word "religion" . I only believe in the philosphy and ideology of anyone. I request to the Administrator that please delete the offensive and dirty words from the message posted by Malwin if you wanted to continue the traditions of editing not good language. If everyone including administraor feels that I have really done very bad and it was all due to my fault then I am very sorry and these will be my last message for this site. .Please tell me your views before i leave this forum (though it will be very painful for me as i was very attached
with this). Thanks.........Aman

I'm sorry Aman, that this forum has come to this. But please realize that when talking about our culture, India is NOT about Hinduism. There are many people in India who do not embrace this religion. In fact to speak in truth and in reality, Hinduism has only dragged our country down to the pits and has not helped India at all (eg. Castes+fate+ untouchables=poverty). I dont consider this as peace or happiness. NO one is born with a fate that is cursed. Praying to millions of gods will not help us, there is only 1 true GOD, and when we realize this, God will bless India. God cares also about the untouchables, they are His precious people. India has been so prejudiced to these people. So please dont try to make Hinduism look so good by covering up all the bad things about it. Not all religions lead to GOD, there is only 1 God. Any country that embraces this truth is actually blessed. See the Western world for urself and what it is based on: 1 God= a united People. I do understand why Malvin is so upset and bitter about, he just expressed this anger in a different way. So please dont lure our tourists into this Hinduism mess!!!! Let them just come and see the country for its beauty, not its religion! HINDUISM DOES NOT define the Indian culture.
Anyways, GOD BLESS Mera Barath(India)

Dear blues,

I havent written anywhere that the culture of India is all about Hinduism. I have written that the travellors must visit Taj Mahal, Kutub Minar, Goa, Golden Temple and Also learn some Yoga, Meditation and Spirituality by visiting Varanasi/Kerela. I havent mentioned at any place that the Taj Mahal, Kutub Minar are made by muslim rulers or Goa is a mostly christian culture or Golden Temple is for Shikhs or Yoga, Meditation are found in Hindu and Bhuddist spiritual texts and varanasi/kerala has hindu culture. I have written about what is best places/things in india to travel/to do for travellors whether it belong to Muslim, Hindu, Shikhs, Christian or Bhudhist. We are all brothers. These are Indian Monuments and culture. If Taj Mahal and its culture is good then the Varanasi/Kerala culture is also equally good. It is like you are denying the fact that there are so good culture and spiritual texts available in India which are in Hinduism. It is like you are accepting all good things written for all monuments and culture written for other religions and cannot digest if there is some good culture in Hinduism. Why? is it narrowmindedness ? i dont know but please accept what is true. And you were writing about caste system, fate etc about Hindus = poverty . Again you are denying the fact the poverty is a general problem and not related to hindus only. Rather Muslims having 4 marriages allowed and have many children are more poorer when compared. Hence plz dont try to divide us Indians. These problems dont belong to any single religion. All religions together define the indian culture but being the oldest civilization (Abt 5000 yrs old) and more than 85% polulation of india, Indian culture is more influenced by the Vedic culture. But as these people were the most tolerating hence many differnt cultures merged in it and now Indian culture is the result of the Merger of these 4-5 religions and culture. But from here on dont use the word religion or Hindu , Muslim etc. We are All Indians. And our culture is a common heritage for all of us. We love Taj Mahal as well as Golden Temple , We Love to go to Varanasi as well as Goa. We love Kerala as well as Kashmir, we love the forts of Rajasthan as well as the Red Fort in Delhi, We love Bible as well as Geeta, We love the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib as well as the teachings of Quran. We Love all the common heritage of India. We are the great Indians .

Aman, I will not argue with u. It is good to have ur opinion too, to hear both sides. I guess we are seeing things from different eyes. I know what u said is what u want it to be, but currently this is not the case in India, it is just reality, it may be improving, i dont know. It is more complicated and messed up than we wish, think, see or want it to be. I am encouraged though by ur patriotism for India. We find few citizens these days like u. Ur patriotic attitude makes me think about myself as an Indian, I wonder if i have been to pessimistic about India for a long time. I am now encouraged to be as patriotic as u r!!! I guess young people like us are the future generation, and we will make what India will be 20 years from now.Peace out!!

Hi there,

I'm not mixing in your discussion, I just have a few travel questions (where this site is meant for ;)).
The plan is to go to India and Nepal in October and November. Does anyone know some "must sees" en route from Delhi to Kathmandu. I have about 2 weeks in India and hope to avoid the large tourist attractions. Furthermore, what is the best means of Travel? bus or train?

Thanx in advance!
