Honestly, i think you'd be mad to miss the opportunity of 1 or preferably 2 stopovers, especially as it's your first trip - you'll get to see something a bit more different than Australia and what your used to.
Great point. On my first trip to Europe (which I'd been dreaming about forever), I spent two weeks in southern Spain followed by a 2-day stopover in Brussels. That meant instead of being sad to leave Spain to come home, I was instead looking forward to seeing something completely different and new. In a way, it was like taking two trips. If you can, I'd highly recommend it, too.
Hey L'il J!!
How's things?? Sounds like you're closer to taking the plunge!
We're currently at Singapore airport waiting for our 1am flight to Sydney - this time tomorrow we'll be enjoying a few bevvies with some Sydney-siders we met in Goa back in December.
I will do my utmost to post as regularly as possible, telling you about all the things we experience in an effort to move you along. Just looked at the UK weather and had to give a wry smile. Been in Siem Reap, Cambodia where the temperature was a steaming 34 degrees. Think Sydney is a cooler 25...!
Must go, flight boarding soon...
