Hello there fellow travellers!

I arrive in Bangkok, Thailand on September 4th this year, with 10 weeks to play in Thailand and Malaysia! I then catch a flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and arrive in Melbourne, Australia on November 14th, with a 1 year working visa (possibly 2 years). In either November 2012 or 2013, I will arrive in Auckland, New Zealand :-D

I know all about New Zealand as I have been before, but I have never been to Thailand/Malaysia/Australia. I've only backpacked NZ as part of a group tour, but feel like I can go solo now :)

Does anyone have any advice on Thailand/Malaysia/Australia?? Trying to get as much information as possible before I go in September. I'm not looking for work in Thailand/Malaysia, but I am looking for any work in OZ.

Anyone going to the places mentioned above at the same time???

Hi Tom,

What place you interested in Malaysia? Beach? Nature? Adventure? Entertainment? Local food? Mostly people will hit to these places when they come to Malaysia. KL, Penang, Melaka and Sabah.

Btw, i live in Malaysia and these places just point of me, it also depend on what you going to see. Cheers.

Hi Felson, Thanks for replying,

I met a Malaysian lad in New Zealand and he said Malaysia have some of the best beaches in the world, but it is best to avoid the cities unless I want to party! So I think it will just be to relax at beaches in Malaysia as close to Kuala Lumpur as possible.

I will be catching a train from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, 1 week or 2 weeks before I fly to Australia, but these plans may change. However, if there is something that I should go to see and do then I am open to suggestions :)

Frankly say, Kl is not close to any beaches. The closest would be Pangkor Island ,3 1/2 hours from KL. If you willing take a flight, you can fly to Langkawi Island or world renown Sipadan Island.
