I am a newbee here at travellerspoint.

I am getting a 16day holiday from Apr 1-16, and I am thinking seriously of N.Europe. I have two friends to catch up in Oslo and London (1 day each), and i am on my own the rest of the time.

This time I dont want to travel to the so-called places of interest (eg: vatican, louvre or eiffel tower) but instead I want to experience the european life.

Some places i am considering are Dublin, Netherlands, Munich, Belarus, Denmark. I'll mostly be flying into London. Is it a good idea to make London as a hub and travel to these cities or is it better start a big loop from London->countryX->countryY->cityZ->London? (i ask this because i dont find any direct flight from say, amsterdam to oslo).

I am also looking for suggestions on what cities to travel through. Only criteria are: it should be safe, a party town with friendly people would be nice, and i have a tight budget.

How will the weather be like in northern europe during march-end and april-start?

thanks,
-t

London is a smart hub for you to leaf from to all your trips.

Also amsterdam could be smart because of the airports hub function for klm / Northwest.

A + for London is that losts of Cheape airlines have their main hubs in london. So that makes it cheaper for you to take trips to all the places in europe.

You can check your options from the london airports here

Hope it helps.

If you wanta to go to cheap places be aware that the cities you chose are about the most expensive in Europe. Southern and Eastern Europe is a lot cheaper. Portugal is really cheap in surrounding Oporto and inland. Austrian alps are cheap in teh summer because there is not much tourism in the summer there. Places like Bulgaria Kroatia Romania Tsjech republik are also way cheaper than northern Europe. Especially if you want to go to party places. Good luck
