Flying into Siem Reap with Air Asia next weekend to spend a few days in Cambodia to explore the local area before flying home via Bangkok.
How simple it was to organise a tour of Angkor Wat in the town and could anyone suggest a nice clean guest house to stay in for a few days?
Any help would be most welcome :-)

A great resource for all things Cambodia is here. Many GHs listed from $5 fan rooms to $60 a/c deluxe rooms. Pick what area of SR you prefer to stay and check with 'tripadvisor' which ones get good reviews. I stayed at Poular GH, nothing special, but a decent place for the money.
All GHs will have drivers and offer guides. With luck, several others at your GH may have already hired a car/guide for the next day. It is always more fun to share the experience with others. If that does not work, see if your GH can find a tour you can join. I did it on my own. Hired a moto guy at my GH for $8/day. Once at Angkor, I met a little girl, WaNee that offered to guide me around the rocks. I paid little WaNee $8 plus lunch for her help. I had a great time doing that way.
Good luck with your planning.
Angkor wat is the best destination to visit in Cambodia, you can consider Green Garden Home Guest house, River Village Manor, Siem Reap Garden Inn guest house in Siem Reap for best accommodations.
