hey hey,
I'm Kayleigh, i just wanted to share my own experience to all you fellow travellers. Like many of you i was pretty scared about going away before i went, i'd never really been away from home. I dont particularly enjoy flying, and i'm a pretty shy person, so to go away by myself was a huge step for me.

I went to South Africa, for a month last May, I volunteered at a lion reserve, and my job was to feed the lion cubs, bathe them, and play with them. We had to feed the older lions also, and clean out the enclosures (not the most glamorous job, but was amazing to be up so close to the lions). the experience is something i will never forget, it meant so much to me that as soon as i got home i had a tattoo done to remind me of it.

i made some great friends and did so many things which i never thought i'd do. it was a real eye opener, experiencing different culture, food and actual sunshine!!

anyways get in touch if u want to know anything else :)

Hi Kaleigh,
I'm also going to volunteer ! I'm going to the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre near Hoedspruit in South Africa, next April. I've been dreaming, about this since 7 years, and finally, I got the opportunity.
I'm expecting soooooooo much of it. I'm so excited!
Where did you go? I mean in which center?

Grz, Nathalia
