I'm going to volunteer in the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Center near Hoedspruit (Kruger Park) in South Africa. Before this project, beginning of April, I have only 3 days to spent at sightseeing. It's not much so I don't want to waste my precious time. I'm alone and will have no car.
Does anybody know where I can arrange some guided trips? Most of the trips I found start en end in JBurg or are too long.
I've been thinking to do a safari in the Kruger Park during 1 or 2 days.
Is it possible to do a trip of 1 day to the Drakens mountains from Hoedspruit?
What about the Blyde Rivier? Interesting?
Is there anything to see in Hoedspruit itself?
I am not sure whether you can arrange short trips and safari's. I suggest you do research, especially with lodges as they usually have such services.
There is a lot to see in Hoedspruit. Including The Airforce Reserve, The Modjadji Cycads and Khamani Reptiles.
Good luck! I hope you have a lot of fun!
A very good place to find out about South Africa is the South African Tourism Boad's home page. Here you will not only be able to see what you can do in South Africa but also help you to plan a trip and find people (guides) to help you in specific areas of the country.
Ps. Moderator - this is a good link for all travellerspoint users who are intersted in South Africa.
